The Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses blend iconic Wayfarer design with advanced AI capabilities and innovative gesture controls via the Meta Neural Band wristband. Set to launch in the U.S. on September 30, 2025, these glasses mark a significant step in wearable tech by integrating a heads-up display and AI-driven functionality into stylish eyewear.
Design and Key Features
Maintaining the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer aesthetic, the glasses feature a crisp in-lens display with a resolution of 600×600 pixels and a 20° field of view, offering sharp visuals with brightness adaptable from 30 to 5,000 nits. The glasses weigh approximately 60 grams and come in black and sand colors with two frame sizes. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6, ensuring seamless integration with devices.
Paired with the glasses is the Meta Neural Band, an electromyography (EMG) wristband that interprets subtle muscle signals to enable hands-free navigation through gestures. This innovative control method uses on-device machine learning based on data from 200,000 participants, allowing users to scroll, select, and interact without touching the glasses.
AI Integration and User Experience
The AI capabilities include visual responses from Meta AI, private messaging for apps like WhatsApp and Instagram, live video calling with screen sharing, turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation (in beta), live translations, and real-time conversation captions. The glasses also support camera functions with zoom, music playback controls, and album art display, enhancing their utility beyond traditional eyewear.
Battery life supports up to 6 hours of mixed use on the glasses themselves, with an additional 24 hours provided by a collapsible charging case. The Neural Band charges separately, offering up to 18 hours per charge.
Availability and Pricing
Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses will be available initially at select U.S. retailers such as Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Ray-Ban stores, and Verizon locations shortly after launch. The retail price is set at $799, which includes both the glasses and the Neural Band. Plans are in place to expand availability to Canada, France, Italy, and the UK in early 2026.
